EV Hybrid

The Daoben EV Hybrid series injection molding machine combines a servo-electric injection drive with a hydraulic clamping unit. This hybrid design accelerates injection response speed and improves shot precision — fully meeting high-precision manufacturing requirements for ultra-thin and precision parts. A full-hard chromeplate screw and bi-metallic barrel deliver outstanding wear resistance and a longer service life. Five models cover a clamping force range from 90 to 268 tons, with injection speeds up to 440 mm/s and injection pressure up to 300 MPa.

-Modular injection unit design

The same base components can be freely combined with different specification injection parts. Each tonnage model can be configured with large, medium, or small injection units.

-High-speed, high-response injection

Injection components are optimized to accelerate injection speed and enhance response efficiency. Injection speeds reach up to 440 mm/s on EV90 through EV170 models, fully meeting customers’ high-precision manufacturing requirements for ultra-thin and precision parts. 

-Low-inertia injection components with powerful servo motor

Low-inertia injection component design is matched with a high-power full-electric servo motor — the same motor type used on all-electric machines.

Clamping Unit

-Toggle clamping with high-precision proportional valve

The EV Hybrid clamping unit is equipped with a high-precision clamping proportional valve. Positioning accuracy reaches 0.2 mm, giving repeatable mold-close position throughout the production run.

-Clamping force range: 900 kN to 2680 kN

Five standard models cover a clamping force range from 900 kN (EV90) to 2680 kN (EV268). Mold opening stroke ranges from 320 mm on the EV90 to 560 mm on the EV268.

-Wide mold thickness range

Minimum to maximum mold thickness is programmable and covers 150–350 mm on the EV90 through 220–600 mm on the EV268. The ejector system delivers 31 kN to 77 kN ejector tonnage depending on model.

Clamping Unit EV series

SDC Servo Direct Control Technology

-Ultra-short control cycle: 0.120 ms

Conventional injection machine controllers run a control cycle of 3–4 ms. SDC reduces this to just 0.120 ms — a reduction of up to 32×.

-Independently developed process algorithm

The SDC algorithm is proprietary to DAOBEN and resides inside the servo driver hardware itself — not in a separate PLC or motion controller. This means the drive calculates corrections locally, in real time, without waiting for a command from an external controller.

-Higher position and switching accuracy

SDC improves control position accuracy across three key machine axes: injection position, mold-open position, and mold-close switching position.

CONTROL SYSTEM

-High-performance controller with ETHERCAT CAN-bus

The EV Hybrid uses a high-performance control platform co-effective with the ETHERCAT CAN-bus system. This offers high-efficiency anti-jamming performance and high-speed internal calculation, guaranteeing real-time bulk data transfer and precise process control across all machine axes.

-Accurate injection, pressure, and position control

Closed-loop control manages injection speed, hold pressure, screw position, and back pressure independently. The ETHERCAT bus eliminates signal delay between the controller and servo drives

-Stable, consistent output across long production runs

The controller maintains process stability across extended shifts. Shot-to-shot variation is minimised, keeping part quality consistent from the first cycle to the last.

Longer Equipment Life: Full-hard chromeplate screw and bi-metallic barrel are standard on every model. This significantly increases screw and barrel service life compared to standard configurations, lowering replacement cost and reducing unplanned maintenance stoppages.

Modular Flexibility: Three injection unit sizes available per machine tonnage — large, medium, and small. You can configure exact shot volume for each application without changing the machine frame. One machine covers multiple product families and resin types.

Positioning Accuracy to 0.2 mm: High-precision clamping proportional valve delivers mold-close positioning accuracy to 0.2 mm. Consistent mold-close position protects tooling parting surfaces, extends mold life, and maintains part dimensional consistency across the full production run.
