Hydraulic system inspection

1) Check whether the motor oil pump has water in it. If it cannot be started due to water inflow, prevent the hydraulic oil from entering the injection mold machine’s hydraulic pipeline system after turning on the motor, causing rust on the hydraulic components.

2) Check whether the hydraulic oil has water in it. Open the plug at the bottom of the oil tank on the frame, release a small amount of oil, and ignite a little with a piece of paper. If it cannot be ignited, or there is a crackling sound during the burning process, there is water in the hydraulic oil, and all the hydraulic oil needs to be replaced. When replacing the hydraulic oil, the tank needs to be thoroughly cleaned after the oil is pumped out and used after drying.

Electrical inspection

1) Disconnect all injection molding machine power supplies to disconnect the entire machine from the power grid.

2) Check whether the computer host has water ingress. If the computer host has water ingress, remove the battery on the injection molding machine I/O computer motherboard as soon as possible after the water ingress (customers are advised to do this promptly). When the battery of the I/O board is not removed, individual components are still powered on, which will accelerate the rust and corrosion of these components and will increase the difficulty and cost of component repair;

3) Check the water-wading status of other electrical components. Remove the electrical components of the injection mold machine in the entire electrical box (operated by service personnel) and clean them with alcohol. If necessary, disassemble and clean the parts, including the I/O board, 24V power supply, 5V power supply, transformer, AC contactor, air switch, axial flow fan, etc.;

4) Check the status of electrical components. A multimeter detects the resistance value of the electrical components that have been removed, cleaned, and thoroughly dried to determine whether they can work typically.

5) all connecting plugs must be separated, cleaned, and dried for split models.

Servo system inspection

Servo driver:

1) Open the driver housing, clean up the debris, use alcohol to clean the circuit board and electronic components, and observe whether there is rust.

2) Use a hair dryer or electric fan (normal temperature wind) to dry the internal components of the driver entirely.

3) Measure the drive resistance. If it is lower than the megohm level, it is abnormal and needs to be returned to the factory for inspection.

4) After the test run, after the installation is restored, it can usually be turned on after 2 minutes of power without abnormality.

Servo motor:

1) If there is an apparent water inflow at the power supply terminal, it must be thoroughly dried before it can be used again.

2) If the encoder terminal is water-infiltrated, it must be returned to the factory for inspection.

3) If foreign matter is attached to the oil seal and rotor, it must be cleaned before it can be used again.

4) Check whether the motor bearing is rusted and determine whether the bearing needs to be replaced.

5) Measure the three-phase resistance of the motor UVW, which must be entirely consistent. Measure the resistance of the motor power supply terminal to the ground, which should be greater than 50 MΩ.

Oil system treatment:

1. Do not turn on the motor oil pump because the water in the hydraulic oil after turning on the motor may enter the hydraulic pipeline system of the high speed injection mold machine, causing the metal hydraulic components to rust.

2. Check whether the hydraulic oil has water in it. Open the plug at the bottom of the oil tank on the frame, release a small amount of oil, and ignite it with a piece of paper. If the fire cannot be ignited and there is a crackling sound during the combustion process, water is in the hydraulic oil, and all the hydraulic oil needs to be replaced. (You can also use anhydrous copper sulfate to test whether it will turn blue. If it turns blue, it means that it contains water).

3. If there is water in the oil, you must replace the tank’s hydraulic oil. Wipe the tank with a clean cloth before changing the oil.
